【摘要】:Thepull-offstrength(commonlyreferredtoasadhesion)ofacoatingisanimportantperformancepropertythathasbeenusedinspecifications.Thistestmethodservesasameansforuniformlypreparingandtestingorganiccoatingsonplasticsubstrates.FurtherinformationmaybefoundinAppendixX1.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorydeterminationoforganiccoatingadhesiontoplasticsubstratesbymountingandremovinganaluminumstudfromthesurfaceofthecoatingandmeasuringtheforcerequiredtobreakthecoating/substratebondwithatensiletester.1.2Thistestmethodrequiresthatthealuminumstudbeadhereddirectlytothesurfaceofacoated,curedpanel(Fig.1).1.3Thistestmethodisusedtocomparetheadhesionofcoatingstovariousplasticsubstrates,thusallowingforaquantitativecomparisonofvariouscoating/substratecombinations.1.4OthertensiletestmethodsareTestMethodD4541andISO4624(butarenottechnicallyequivalent).1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
