【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthewatersolubilityofanorganicsolventusedasanauxiliaryorcosolventforpentachlorophenolorotherbiocidesinwoodpreservingsolutions.Conversely,thesolventsolubilityinthewatermayalsobedetermined.Auxiliarysolventsareusedtoeitherformulatehighconcentrationsofpentaorotherbiocidesforshipmentofliquidconcentrateforsubsequentdilutionwithanoil,ortoboastthebiocidesolvencyofthepetroleumsolutionwhenmixedfortreating.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
