【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodproducescavitationdamageonthefaceofaspecimenvibratedathighfrequencywhileimmersedinaliquid.Thevibrationinducestheformationandcollapseofcavitiesintheliquid,andthecollapsingcavitiesproducethedamagetoanderosion(materialloss)ofthespecimen.1.2Althoughthemechanismforgeneratingfluidcavitationinthismethoddiffersfromthatoccurringinflowingsystemsandhydraulicmachines(see),thenatureofthematerialdamagemechanismisbelievedtobebasicallysimilar.Themethodthereforeoffersasmall-scale,relativelysimpleandcontrollabletestthatcanbeusedtocomparethecavitationerosionresistanceofdifferentmaterials,tostudyindetailthenatureandprogressofdamageinagivenmaterial,or-byvaryingsomeofthetestconditions-tostudytheeffectoftestvariablesonthedamageproduced.1.3Thistestmethodspecifiesstandardtestconditionscoveringthediameter,vibratoryamplitudeandfrequencyofthespecimen,aswellasthetestliquidanditscontainer.Itpermitsdeviationsfromsomeoftheseconditionsifproperlydocumented,thatmaybeappropriateforsomepurposes.Itgivesguidanceonsettingupasuitableapparatusandcoverstestandreportingproceduresandprecautionstobetaken.Italsospecifiesstandardreferencematerialsthatmustbeusedtoverifytheoperationofthefacilityandtodefinethenormalizederosionresistanceofothertestmaterials.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyprecautionaryinformation,see6.1,10.3,and10.6.1.
